David Starks

David Starks is a well-known and respected family law attorney who regularly represents clients in complex financial and international divorce cases and other international family law matters.

As a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, Fellow and Certified Mediator of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and Fellow of International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML), David is one of the few attorneys in the U.S. who routinely handles cases involving international family law and treaties. He has represented many clients in cases involving the Hague Conventions on international abduction, as well as clients who seek to recover property or spousal support from foreign countries.

David is a past co-chair of the American Bar Association's International Law Section Family Law Committee. He is also the co-author of the chapter on International Family Law in the Washington State Bar Association Family Law Desk Book.

David is licensed in Washington, Oregon, and Texas and is available to help clients across the globe who need assistance with an Oregon family law matter involving international issues.
